I'm excited to introduce a friend of mine that I've had the pleasure of getting to know over the past year. Connor is not only a great writer and fantastic world-builder, but he's also a wonderful, godly teen who is going to do great things. He sent me this article to publish on The Remnant, and it fit perfectly with the theme of young people living uncompromised for God, regardless of our age. Enjoy!
“When you’re older. You need more experience.”
A majority of people under the age of twenty hear some version of this when they strive to do new things. Even many people older than twenty hear this, whether from teachers, friends, or even job requirements. Often it is not inaccurate, but young people are capable of doing more than most people think, including themselves.
I would like to start with biblical examples and work our way to modern day. In 1 Samuel chapter 17, we see the son of Jesse, David, visiting his brothers in the war camp of the Israelites. Across the valley the Philistines are camped. Each day around noon, Goliath - the Philistine champion and nine foot nine-foot-tall giant - would lumber out and curse God and His armies. When David heard this, he grew enraged, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, he was able to overcome Goliath, becoming king.
Generations later, Josiah was born into the royal lineage of David. He was crowned King of Judah at the age of eight, and is known as the last good king of Judah. His rule was just, and at the age of 25, he began to rebuild the temple which had been neglected.
Thomas Edison started inventing and tinkering at a young age, and that allowed him to invent the light bulb at the age of 32 after more than a thousand attempts. Many people thought it wasn’t going to succeed and that he should work a normal job.
In 1934, a young man by the name of Bill was called by God to spread the Gospel to America; he was just sixteen years old. By the time he was nineteen, he had preached his first message, and a year later, he was ordained as a pastor. This young man, who started at the age of sixteen - not even a junior in high school - started working on the calling that God has placed upon his life. Little Bill would eventually become Billy, and he would start one of the most successful televangelist tours ever. Billy Graham reached thousands of people for Christ in his lifetime. None of that would have been possible, however, if he had not said yes at sixteen.
Finally, the author of this blog, Olivia Tracey, started this a year and a half ago and already has posts with dozens of views. Even at the age of eighteen, she is making an impact in the world one post at a time. And Lord willing, The Remnant will reach hundreds more in the next year, and thousands in the years to come.

All of these people did incredible things, but they also started before they were eighteen. It is great and sometimes necessary to wait for better schooling or more experience before doing something big, but God can use those under voting age as well as those above. Just because you are young does not mean you are limited.
What is God calling you to do today?

About the Author
Connor is a hard-working follower of Christ, struggling to follow God’s will. He hasn’t done anything of particular renown as of starting writing for the Remnant, but he might in the future. Or not.
