5 Scriptures to Declare

God’s Word has so much power. It’s living, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). When we speak this Word out loud, repeat it in our minds, and hide it in our hearts, God’s power is released into our lives. His Word can heal, turn any situation around, break chains of bondage, change lives, and expose lies.

This week, I want to share with you some of my favourite verses I think on and speak out loud to remind myself of the truth. Will you do the same?

        Isaiah 41:10

“‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”

I don’t have to be afraid because God is with me. I won’t be dismayed because of Who my God is. He will strengthen, help, and uphold me with His righteous right hand.

        Psalm 103:2

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”

I will bless the Lord and not forget all His benefits.

Zephaniah 3:17

“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

The Lord my God is with me, the Mighty One Who will save. He will rejoice over me with gladness, quiet me with His love, and rejoice over me with singing.

Romans 8:38-39

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Nothing can separate me from God’s love - not death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, or things to come. No height, depth, or any created thing can separate me from His love!

Jeremiah 29:11

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (NIV).

God knows the plans for my life. They are plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future.

Let’s not only keep these verses in our hearts and minds, but let’s speak these life-giving words out loud rather than speaking negative words.

Let’s do it together.
